New research from Pew Internet claims that 26% of all Americans currently access some form of news on their mobiles.
That’s 33% of all US mobile users, and a whopping 88% of all US mobile users with mobile internet access.

When you consider all cellphone users, 26% check weather reports, 25% go online for news, and 18% have downloaded apps to access news, weather or sports updates.
“The typical on-the-go news consumer is a white male, age 34, who has graduated from college and is employed full-time,” explains Pew in its report.
