Pretty soon we will be like Terminators and look at the world like a robot. Layar is providing augmented reality technology to mobile apps and has recently teamed up with video game company Ubisoft to launch the first ever mobile augmented AR game. To promote the very popular Splinter Cell game, Layar, Ubisoft, and agency Blutarsky teamed up to offer gamers a unique and highly engaging mobile experience.
[By the way, we can alert you when FoneWars (iPhone battles Android) starts. Just follow FoneGigs on Twitter or Facebook!]
You are sent to Amsterdam (not to smoke or eat french fries with mayonaisse) as an agent to investigate the murders of several other agents that were your friends. Your primary suspect is Sam Fisher and there are several clues that lead you to his secret hideout. The Layar browser is in sync with the game and helps you complete the six missions. The game’s final destination is a video game shop selling the latest instalment of Splinter Cell and every successful agent gets afree t-shirt as a reward. How cool is that?! Check out the video below to see it in action.
