Diesel has come up with a fun idea – get real-time feedback from friends on the clothes you are trying on at Diesel stores. Go shopping in Spain at select stores and through an interactive camera, shoppers can post photos of themselves and ask their Facebook friends for advice about which jeans, shirts, and accessories they can buy. Via Facebook Connect, using a touch screen monitor, the pics show up with a Diesel logo in the corner – a very innovative way to advertise the brand and provide an engaging experience.
Shopping and social media, rolled into one. I suppose a person can snap a pic of themselves with their mobile phone and post it, but for those who do not have smartphones, this could come in handy. I can see teenage girls spending hours at Diesel stores in front of the camera. What’s next, Facebook cams at the hair salon? See the video below for a demo.
